Third Party Testing

The National Turfgrass Evaluation Program develops and coordinates uniform evaluation trials of turfgrass varieties and promising selections in the United States and Canada. These test results can be used by national companies and plant breeders to determine cultivar adaptations. Results are also used to determine if a cultivar performs well in a local area or under differing levels of turf maintenance. This is a valuable resource in determining what future grasses MVP Genetics will pursue.

PARC research and consulting fields

Research Affiliate

MVP Genetics research affiliate, Pinnacle Ag Research Center (PARC) specializes in variety testing, management practices, and environmental impact studies. The research facility is in the heart of the transition zone and exposed to environmental extremes, with hot summers and cold winters. These extremes allow us to test MVP products, practices, and equipment designed to alleviate plant stress and the pests associated with it.

Peak Plant Genetics field research

Breeding Affiliate

MVP Genetics breeding affiliate, Peak Plant Genetics plays a vital role in our commitment to better. Every year over 150,000 individual plants and 1,500 turf plots are planted on the 80-acre research farm located in the Willamette Valley. Allowing us to move efficiently from breeding and selection to production and delivery. By aligning genetic development with market needs, we ensure the varieties we bring forward are both innovative and proven.
